Hopefully this won't be too vague but I seem to be having trouble with "my computer" freezing. I open it and it freezes and the other night it wouldn't load up properly at all. The dvd drive seems to have something to do with it as when I eject the blank cd out of the drive it seems to jolt it back from the dead . avg found a trojan the other day and i deleted it.any ideas?????

System manufacturer and model?

How much RAM installed?

How much free space on C: partition...how large is C: partition?

What is a "freeze" in your world?

Does anything work (keyboard, mouse, Control-Alt-Delete)?

At what exact point after/during boot does this occur?

Any error message?

Can you boot into XP using safe mode?

How long has problem existed?

Can you try Windows System Restore?
