I have now checked the host file and it is clean. Could someone confirm if this means I dont need to delete and re-load?

I have successfully followed the bleeping computers guide to remove security tool but the last part about deleting host files etc does scare me. I'm competent but no expert and the warning i get about not changing system files does concern me. what will happen if I dont delete and reload the host files?

Simply put ... the malware will return (actually not leave) and continue to send info out of you PC. Plus you cannot edit the Hosts file if neededas it blocked that.

See our quietman7's post #15 here

For info on the hosts file. But use the replacement from the BC tutorial you have to do it.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
