For months I've played on the pogo site beautiful chess games, but as of late I can't play anymore due to a wrong or a not-upgraded java-file which is indeed necessary. When I log in the game board doesn't appear. Please help me with this problem. A thousand thanks.

Hello Wimpie and welcome to BC.

Javatester.org has some good information about configuring Java on your computer. Sometimes its a matter of just clearing your cache by going into Control Panel and clicking the Java icon for the options there.
