I recently purchased a new computer running Windows 7 and IE8.

All was well to begin with, but now I cannot get Adobe Flash Player or (I think) Java Script to work.

I think this may be because IE8 has been reset somehow to run at 64 bit rate and those two products only run at 32 bits.

I have tried delete and reinstall, but no luck.

I have also tried the Adobe website for an answer but, not being an expert, I don't quite understand what to do.

Can anyone advise me how I can reset IE8 to run at 32 bits?

Any advice will be most welcome.

Thanks

You are not the first person to experience this. There currently is no 64-bit support for Flash Player. You must use the 32-bit version of IE8 (check the Start Menu under All Programs...you should see both versions: 32 and 64-bit).

See here.
