Hi,
I usually use Mozilla Firefox 3.6.2 as my browser and have recently (week or so) found that my internet connection is not working on many other applications: Internet Explorer, newly installed Google Chrome, itunes etc. Errors such as "check your internet connection" come up. I seem to be able to update Symantec AntiVirus software: LiveUpdate, but get the following error when updating Malwarebytes' Error code: 732 (12029,0).

My operating system is Windows XP professional, Version 2002, service pack 3.

About a month ago I picked up some viruses that now look to be quarantined (Rogue.Multiple, Trojan. FakeAlert, Hijack.DisplayProperties) in case that helps diagnose the problem.

Thanks in advance for anybody willing to help me figure this out.

Thanks for any interest, but I decided to just reboot my computer.
