I've had this beef with windows since day 1. I don't know if its just XP or what. But when I'm in a folder with files, I can press a letter (say M) and it will highlight a file starting with that letter everytime I press it. But as soon as I press a different letter, (say S), it just freezes at the last file until I click away from the window and then come back to it. I don't know why it does this but its very stupid and has always done this.

Does not do that on my system. If I press M, it highlights the first file starting with M. If I then press S, it goes to the first file starting with S. If I keep pressing a lettter, it will keep on highlighting the first file it comes to starting with that letter. It will let me go on forever doing that without any problem
