Hi,
First noticed this thing Sat night; security notifications popped up and a fake scan started. They want you to buy their program to fix your computer. I know its all false, but none of my programs run now ("Application not found" or "Open with..." dialog box); only a few if I click on an associated file. Ran Bit Defender online and that seemed to fix it, but I noticed it comes back when I boot in safe mode. Can this thing be fixed or should I just reinstall the OS? Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
First noticed this last week. After doing a Google search, redirected to other search sites. Got past my AVG software. McAffee, Bit Defender didn't find it; OneCare did but couldn't fix it. Do I have to reinstall the OS? Thanks,
Jim
