My father recently hired someone to design a website for his restaurant, and I've been tasked with the job of having it hosted and making it look less dinky.
The background on the site is a JPEG of a gradient, and it is inserted into each page individually (the designer failed to create a style sheet, which I am in the process of creating).
The background appears on the page when viewed in the Dreamweaver preview window, as wel as when seen in Chrome. However, Firefox and IE both fail to show the background. Since most of the site's font is white, this has the added effect of making the website nearly useless.
The website is permanently hosted at http://athensofseneca.com
I have another copy of the site hosted on my personal account at http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~zyan8/Athens_of_Seneca/
which displays the background in all browsers.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be done to fix this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
To err is human, to really screw up you need a computer.
