G'day everybody - I'm a newbie to forums so I hope I can observe all your protocols and not tread too heavily on anybodies toes.

I'm not sure that I will be able to contribute much in the way of help with problems but I may present a few for solutions - I'm not well informed on the tech side of these wonderful machines that seem to occupy a large part of our life these days, so I look forward to sharing all this site has to offer.

hello lofty1956,welcome and thanks for joining us!!
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Welcome to BC! There are very few special protocols here, and they are usually found in pinned messages in specific forums.
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.
