I used to be able to open about 50 tabs at a time, and it used about 1GB.

Now if I open maybe 10 tabs, and leave it for a while, Firefox uses 2GB.

I am using 3.6.2 on Windows 7 Pro.

I do have addons installed, but I can't list them atm since I am not at the machine in question.
I also have Greasemonkey and various scripts installed.

It surely looks like add-ons issue.
GreaseMonkey scripts, since not officially recognized by Mozilla, are especially prone to memory leaks.
I used to use GreaseMonkey scripts, but I stopped for the very same reason.
