Hi, all! This is my first post, although I've used a few help-sites in the past. I'm a Pittsburgher living and working in Thailand, hence the name. I found this site while searching for some freeware to help with some recent problems. I'll post more on that in the appropriate forum. Just wanted to say hi, and express my appreciation for the folks who provide these types of sites. It is one of the most appropriately named ones I've found. Later!

Hello PGHinBKK and  to Bleeping Computer.

Please take a few moments to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the forum works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There is a lot of very useful information there.

Just an update.....

When I first joined this site, I was living and working in Bangkok, (acutally, a suburb called Minburi, just on the eastern edge of the city (which is HUGE)).

I'd already been working there for a few years when I joined, and then moved myself and my family to Khon Kaen, a city in the northeastern part of the country, and my wife's hometown. After four years there, I'm now back working in Bangkok, while my wife and baby stay at our house in Khon Kaen. There's not many places up here in KK that pay a living wage, so I when I was offered a position at one of the top international schools in Bangkok, I had to take it. I'm home on vacation now, and due to go back to the 'Big Mango' at the end of this month, July. I come home once or twice a month from there to here. It's rough leaving the familly but one does what one must.

Anyway. I just wanted to say that sites like this make it so much easier for us farangs (foreigners) here, because our communications are important and local help is often no help at all. I really appreciate the folks on this site and the help they've given. I hope everyone here is doing well, and thanks for sharing. Communities like this, 'virtual' and on-line though they may be,  are an important touchstone for those of us living away from home.

If anyone ever has any questions about living over here in Thailand, the "Land of Smiles", I'd be happy to fill you in.

Peace.
