I got a pop up thing on the screen and it told me that my computer was infected and needed to install this program. I actually wasn't going to but then it looked like it came from windows so thought well maybe I should, boy do I regret it. I am now scanning my computer with malwarebytes anti-malware but so far has not picked up anything. I get a message on the screen that is red and say continue to unsecure site or purchase protection.. doesn't happen on all sites just some. I would be very appreciative if someone could help me.

Please refer to the removal instructions posted here and post the log from Malwarebytes when complete.
