My system always used to remember my ids when I checked "remember me" but last year I think right after auto download and install of SP3 my system quit doing so.

I also use Firefox and it remembers fine as does Netscape.

I have tried everything I can and asked a million questions incuding Microsoft (who treat me like an idiot) and no luck.

Can anyone tell me what happened please.

Try going in IE and then tools, internet options, click the content tab, then settings in auto complete. Turn them all off, reboot, then turn them back on.
I went thru this a while back, and I THINK this is how I fixed my issue.

@ rosiesdad -
You have the right option - The remember ID option may have been deleted by clicking on (in I.E.) > tools > delete browsing hisyory > delete ALL -
That will delete your automatically saved ID's and passwords -
Due to this I now only use ATF Cleaner to remove such items -

Clearing the history in IE won't have any effect on those being kept but not allowing certain types of cookies or clearing them out will. If you routinely click on delete cookies or have any program that cleans them out automatically, you will lose those cookies that hold the log in details

Check your cookie settings in IE.

Also what version of IE do you have?

Cookies may be the answer, being the lazy type I normally use the 'Delete All' option in IE, I will test to see.

I use IE7, tried 8 and was not impressed, comfortable here.

Thanks again to all for help
