Welcome to BC!
When you post about your problem, please include the following information: your Operating System, amount of RAM, size of hard drive and percent unused. You may also want to run both Ad-AwareSE and Spybot Search and Destroy, just to make sure the slowness of your computer is not caused by adware.
Is the slowness just on boot, or during the normal activities you perform on a daily basis, and does this seem to happen only using some applications or almost all of them? This general information and more complete desciription of the symptoms will save some time and help members understand the nature of the problem.
Regards,
John

I`ve just started a computer help blog on blogspot, I`ll be updating it over the next few days, you should perhaps check it out @ http://www.shanec.blogspot.com
I agree with the post before more details would be helpful, eg when it's slowing down and system specs etc.

Did it help much?
Sorry it's only got one page, but I`ll be adding at least a page a day...
