but...he's having some difficulties with LIFE right now, and I don't want to bother him with my computer virus/howling cat/dearth of good salami.

Ah, me again, I just noticed that you have a DIY section for home repair...well, I am a big idiot when it comes to computers, but I'm actually quite good at home repair questions since I'm an architect (of, you know, those things we put computers in), large squarish things? made frequently of wood? those things...
