Hi - I just joined this evening. Someone infected our home PC with the XP fakware virus and this site was the most helpful at removing it. I was so thankful I decided to join! On the same PC (running XP) I used Malwarebytes to clean it up. I was hoping it would catch another issue happening as well when using any internet browser. It didn't find whatever the issue is. I have checked the browser history after I do a google search and it starts with search.php, v3.php, go.php and various others. Sometimes when not initiating a search - reading in a browser window - a new tab will pop up (firefox) directing me to a crappy site. I've tried to search the forums and couldn't find anything on this. Does anyone know what this is? I have also searched the net and haven't found anything that has helped. I figured if I find the answer - it will be here!
