There are times when Windows Explorer starts to act all funky as well as funky including ignoring commands like Delete and Copy as well as having visual issues. Some examples are shown in the file attachments. What could be the cause of this?

Hmmm...the first thing I would do is update graphics card drivers.

What is your computer brand and model?

I'm actually using a HP Pavillion a6220n Desktop together with a HP w1907 model monitor. I had already upgraded all my graphic drivers and monitor drivers. I think it actually is an issue with Windows Explorer itself. During those times that I experience those glitches, Explorer does behave erratically such as not displaying file icons correctly or cut and paste function not working properly. It's usually starts working properly again after some bit of time or when I do a force restart of Explorer.exe that it gets fixed. Thank you.

Hmm...I see.

Another funky Vista problem that I don't know how to fix. You might wait for better help to come along with advice (I have no more), or you can just do a clean install (what I would do, personally). To me, Vista isn't worth fighting.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for trying though. To be honest, I did not really expect too much for an answer because deep inside I know it's one of Vista stupid glitches and bugs that have not been picked up yet (Explorer.exe has quite a few bugs here and there). It's not really an issue though because all I really need to do is just restart Explorer.exe each time. I was being more wishful then anything. Windows 7 is what Vista should have been but oh well. Thanks for the answers though!
