I am a new member living in Colorado. I built my first computer from hand soldered chips (+14,000 solder joints) in 1975. I used CP/M then as Microsoft Windows did not exist yet. Each version of windows I have upgraded to was a learning curve, and mostly I learned that Windows was not a secure operating system, and the software written for it was often too curious about my life and my activities too. I can now have a hard time keeping up with the various varieties of malware and have gotten very paranoid about what my computer and network are doing and with who. Even the "big boys" like Google have intrusion problems, and I need help from the community to keep my system secure.

Thank you,

Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.
