Ubuntu wont boot

today i installed ubuntu on my new laptop,when i restarted my PC a command promp popped up with this text:
[Minimal BASH-Like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible completions of a device/filename]

1.60 GHz processor on laptop BTW iam running ubuntu netbook remix
512 mb ram 60 gb Hard drive

Can you post the actual error, and maybe a photograph of it? By the sounds of it, your Ubuntu install got corrupted.
