Hey everyone,

I'm having some issues with image quality and getting the most out of my HDMI experience.

I've used Mac OS X 10.5 on a Macbook White with an LG 22LG30 television as my primary display. The HDMI cable I used was an HDMI-DVI cable, then DVI to MiniDVI so it could connect to the Macbook. The images were far crisper, brighter, and plain ol' better than the images on the Macbook Glossy Screen. I use the Adobe RGB Color Profile.

Two days ago, I purchased the Gateway DX4300-15e because I needed more RAM/Processing Power etc (specs here: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668381.php ) and decided to use the same television as my primary display for this computer. The cable is an HDMI to HDMI cable that supports upto 1080p/60hz. The image is terrible. All of the text on the screen is blurry, only becoming tolerable after increasing the size of all text in Windows. The colors are horribly off as well, even after installing the same Adobe RGB color profile there. Perhaps the final straw is the way it makes real people/places look (photographs look like comic book scenes and youtube videos look like cartoons).

Can someone please offer me a word of advice? If I need a new video card, what type would be really good to purchase (that's dramatically better than my ATI Radeon HD 3200)

Thanks a million
