well my pc is connected to LAN.

i can access other systems lby their names or ip address (like \\PC1 or \\

but other systems cant access me (neither can they see what i have shared).

when i try to repair the LAN , i get this error :

window could not finish the repairing problem ........
Clearing ARP cache

i tried alternate sruff like arp -g, arp -a, netsh ....
all those commands appear as if they have worked properly

even i read the microsoft help and tried the alternate way of repairing:

like i did all tthe stuff repair does like clearing the dns, reinistalising it... as described by them everything appeared to work properly but when i repair it again i get the same problem

can any1 help me out???

i dont if this helps but i shared my connection with another system (i kinda of allowed my friend to borrow my LAN collection for a while). do u think there is a problem with that??

my LAN dynamically allots IP address not the static one
