Regarding the beta driver version
Version: 179.48 BETA
Release Date: 2009.02.11
Operating System: Windows 7, Windows Vista
Language: English (U.S.)
File Size: 122 MB
There is a notice below the download tab that states
This is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA GeForce notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.
That being said I am going to point you in the right direction by linking you to your Dell recommended drivers. I do not see a driver for windows 7, however I am hoping the Windows Vista version 97.46 A01 driver dated 1-19-2007 will work for you.
Here is the link below, on this page you need to choose Windows Vista on the "Refine your results" tab, then a list will show up for Vista which lists all drivers and software, just click the arrow next to the Video tab and it will expand the list of drivers, the Nvidia driver is the last one on the list, download it and install it.http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...anConsent=False
It is my hope that after this install, everything is back to normal again, if not, please let us know, and if this does work, please come back and let us know your problem has been resolved. Thanks!
