My hobby started in 1963 when I took summer school classes in "Computer Programming". Control Data Corp. was headquartered here in Mpls - they provided a recently decommissioned Bendix G15 for we 10 year old students. (see the link)

I still have the Commodore VIC 20 that I bought from Target in 1982 (halftime commercial of SuperBowl - Commodore advertised newly reduced price of $300.00 and i was convinced that computers would "never get any cheaper")

Self-employed, I'm by no means an uber-geek. I'm only a moderately sophisticated business user. (and I never have mastered how to work these forum boards properly)

Welcome to BC, and thanks for joining! You are not the only person who began with a Vic20.

Hello Ottofocus and  to Bleeping Computer.

Please take a few moments to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the forum works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There is a lot of very useful information there.
