Pendrive not working??

Hi,
The problem i am facing is that my Transcend 4 GB pen drive is totally gone.Whenever i try to format my pen drive i got a message "This disk is Write Protected" this is very frustrating.Also there is a file whose name is USB_!#!@ and its size is 6 GB.I am unable solve this problem also whenever i try to delete this file or cut the error message pop up "cannot rename ,delete, move file:Cannot read from the source file or disk.
Pls help :thumbsup:

What OS are you on? What format is the flash drive?

Sounds to me like the whole drive is corrupt or even broken. Try formatting (not quick formatting) the whole drive. Sorry if you've lost any valuable data, I know it sucks...

There's a switch on some flash drives that prevents other computers from writing on it. It's a good option to prevent viruses.
Anyways, if you don't have one, all you can do is dispose it and but a new one.

I know it sucks but we can't do anything about it... :thumbsup:

Also try inserting it then going through the proper removal, right the USB icon in the task bar. When it says safe to remove then pull it out, again insert it to see it that freed it up. May or may not work but worth a try.
