I own a Sony Vaio FW51JF Windows 7 64 bit laptop.

I bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 v1.0 which worked perfectly, but now it is no longer being identified by my laptop. The batteries are new and work.

The wireless switch is turned on, the bluetooth drivers are up to date.

When I turn the switch on and look in the 'Show Bluetooth Devices' tab, the mouse appears for about 2 seconds before disappearing.

I bought a different mouse, the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000. The USB drivers were installed, but the mouse does not respond.

A normal wired mouse works fine.

Any ideas on what I can do? Is it a hardware fault that needs repair, or can I try reinstalling drivers etc to get it to work.
