Hello, I'm trying to uninstall a program, but when I attempt to it says Could not Open Install.LOG file? I want to uninstall but I don't know how to fix this. Thanks for any help in advance.

If you have tried to uninstall in the safe mode and that didn't work. The trick I've used in the past is to reinstall the software you're trying to uninstall to see if it replaces whats missing for the uninstaller. Works for me.

I tried to uninstall and safe mode and got the same error. So you mean like reinstall windows xp?

P.S. i'm having another problem:

when i first enter my desktop, i get a error box that says "gearbox is not installed or setup properly. Reinstall"

i dont know how to fix this either

Reinstall the program you tried to uninstall.

And if you are using XP use a system restore date from before the date you attempted the uninstall.

Ok, thanks for the system restore tip, now does anyone know how to fix the gearbox error?
