I have Windows XP and Firefox v3.5.7.

My bookmarks on the bookmark bar lately have been plain, looking like a little page with the top right corner folded down.

Before, the bookmarks had details. For example Mapquest was a red star, The Weather Channel had the letters TWC in a blue box, CraigsList is a purple peace sign, YouTube is a white square with the Tube in lower red, etc.

But lately, when I save a bookmark, or place a bookmark in the toolbar, I only get the plain, white, page icon. I don't like the fact that they now all look the same.

Please help me turn the icon details back on. Thank you.

Yep, that did the trick. Firefox was set to never remember history. Unchecked that, and icons popped back up. Thanks.

Glad it worked. I note you are using firefox 3.5.7. Are you aware latest Firefox 3.62 fixes a serious security vulnerability as detailed in Firefox 3.62 Release notes
