I have a Compaq Presario 5102US computer. I hooked my MIDI cable to the 15 pin joystick receptacle but my MusicWorks program says it doesn't read anything. I don't know how to find out if my computer is set up for MIDI and if not how to get it set up for MIDI.

You can download MIDIs from websites if you search for them, there is no real set up for them.

What he wants to do I am supposing si that you are connecting a keyboard to your pc?

Do you have the drivers installed for the joystick port. Sometimes these are on seperate floppies (if you still use them) or a seperate installer on the cd.
