cd-rom drive problem

My h-p all of a sudden does not recognize the cd (D:) drive. I put an install disc for a router and a printer and nothing happens-in "My Computer" it is not even showing the D: drive, only A:. Help!!!

The drive may have simply died. Can you go to the BIOS to see if it is listed there?
