Hi I have a dell e1505 Inspiron laptop which has been chirping for the past 3 weeks. I have been looking online for advice and it all seems to come down to 3 possibilities. I either have a sound card, motherboard, or hard drive problem. The solution to either is the same which is to buy a replacement although in the case of the motherboard its better to just buy another laptop. I also know that if it is my hard drive I need to buy a replacement ASAP. However I would prefer to be that was the problem before I bought one. Is there anyway of narrowing down where the problem sound is coming from. Additionally interesting enough I noticed that if I scan my c drive in an attempt to recover bad sectors on my c drive then the chirping stops until the scan is finished. Whilst it is undergoing the scan i can listen to music and anything else without the chirp. Also the chirp comes through the earphones. Hopefully this helps.

Maybe if you could, upload a video with the sounds that your laptop is making.
