okay, so I looked into Assassin's Creed's recommended Specs for CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or better/AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ or 4400+

And i am planning on buying the ASUS UL30JT which comes out at the end of April this year here in Australia.

I'm pretty confused with the CPU specs on the ASUS. I went to the Intel site for the
Intel® Core™ i7-640UM Processor (4M Cache, 1.20 GHz)
and the
Intel® Core™ i7-620UM Processor (4M Cache, 1.06 GHz)
and they read:
640UM – Dual core 1.2 GHz but will run at 2.26 GHz
620UM – Dual core 1.06 Ghz but will run at 2.133 GHz

So if i choose the 620UM one, does that mean it can't run the Assassin's Creed Game?

Cheers

the i7 is a far better CPU then the core2 or the athlon 4400. That being said however, it was designed for multi threading and wants at least 2.2 ghz. That i7 May be able to run assassins creed, but I wouldn't bet my money on it, Id want one that runs at least at 2.2 ghz if not faster.

I see.

So lets say, There's a laptop with a Pentium 4 of 3.6GHz. Does that still run it?

I would rather take my chances with the i7. the pentium 4 is an old chip, and single core at that and most likely will not run the game. If your going pentium you need a pentium D 2.6 ghz or higher or a AMD athlon x2 3800+ to meat minimum specs. this game is very much designed for multi threading.
