Remember years ago, when ISPs used to offer newsgroups? I had forgotten all about them until the other day, and then when I tried to find them I found out that ISPs don't even offer them anymore. Oh, you can still get them, if you want to pay for them. But can't you get them for free anymore?

Newsgroups are obsolete and were replaced by RSS feeds. They're free and you just have to find a reader like Google Reader. I expect Twitter to render RSS obsolete down the road.
