My local PC store told me that combofix should repair my virus. I downloaded the program and the directions and used it on my son's netbook. He seems to have some virus that opens as soon as he turns on the computer. It is a pop up for Total PC defender. It will not allow him to navigate away or close the pop-up and keeps saying Virus detected over and over again. The combofix did not remove the virus, but he can go on the internet. It stills runs in the background. Any ideas? I do have a log, but won't post it here per directions on forum.
