I am thinking of two computers in the same or adjacent rooms where the same set of files could be accessed and edited as needed from either and / or both computers at the same time.

What is the easiest way to connect two work stations to the same computer or same set of files rom different computers?

The cheapest and easiest is still probably "sneaker net" like we used in pre-historic times. Use a thumbdrive or floppy disk to carry the files from computer to computer. I realize that's not the best solution though. If the machines have ethernet cards in them then you should only need a network patch cable to connect them. Ethernet cards are available pretty cheaply if your machines need them. You can use a USB cable and copy files back and forth but setting up a network would probably work best for what you want to do.

If they can both surf the net at the same time, then they are probable hooked to the same router. Then its just file sharing.

What version(s) of windows are we talking about?

Hope this helps thumbup.gif
