Hi, I keep finding my computer crashed with the following error message:

Stop: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8F4D088, 0x9C42FA34, 0x00000000)

sbapifs.sys- Address 8F4FD088 base at 8F4FB000, date stamp 4a807d02

what is this and how do i repair/stop it from occurring? I also noticed that my system is taking a huge amount of time to boot up. We had my brother in-law living here during his apprenticeship and he was using this particular computer exclusively. It has not been the same since. I am running Ad-aware as an anti-virus/spyware program..... Any help would be awesome...

Ad-aware is NOT an antivirus program.

sbapifs.sys is a part of Sunbelt antivirus. Do/did you have it installed on your computer?

originally got ad-aware as just anti-spyware but when I purchased it, it said in the features it was also an antivirus. So which anti-virus is the best? we have three computers so we would need something that provides good network protection?

Short answer is no.

You never replied to:

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx
No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:
