Configure Download Manager?

From what I understand, and I could be wrong..there is some way to configure REGEDIT to have IE download files faster. Could someone please educate me on this?

Yes there is a certain part of the registry that controls how your computer connects to the internet. I recently posted a tweak here to optimize it. Enjoy.
