Hi all,

im beginning to notice that Internet Explore is freezing.

Especially on sites such as youtube - i can search for videos etc, but when it comes to the showing page, it all loads, then the video begins to load as you can see the wee circle in the middle of the screen and explorer crashes. i havent watched avideo now for a while.
to fix it, i open up Task manager, and under processes i end the process, which basically closes the tabs and re-opens it, but the same freezing happens again.

its started to freeze with other websites, none other that have been as stand out as youtube though (as iv said, its been like 2 weeks since iv been able to see a video..)

I've had a lot of similar problems with IE8. My best suggestion is to get Firefox. I've not been able to find any help for IE8 and so far no updates have helped either. Firefox, on the other hand, has been very reliable, I can view videos, download, (which does not work in IE). The only thing you can't do is go to Microsoft Update and get the updates.

My first recommendation would be to use Firefox instead of IE. Internet Explorer sucks, in my opinion. I am always pissed off when I am forced to use it.

Although, IE itself may not be the reason you are having problems. If using Firefox resolves your issues, then the problem was IE. But if you still have problems running Firefox, the cause is obviously deeper than a crappy browser (IE).

What version of IE are you using? 7? 8?

Try updating your Flash Player and Shockwave Player.

What are your system specs? Processor, RAM, hard drive, graphics card, Windows 7 edition and bit, etc...

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Same thing?
