Problems after removing Antivirus 2010 malware

Hi all,

I recently was infected with Antivirus 2010, after following the walkthroughs provided on this site I believe the malware had been removed with the help of Malbyte's in safe mode.

However now I have an odd problem. I can browse the net (Firefox 3.6) & receive email without any issues but any programs that require access to the net for updates etc. can't connect. E.g iTunes, Norton, Google Chrome etc, EA Download manager etc

I'm running the windows firewall which I tried disabling but no luck.

Has anyone had this problem after removing malware? I'm concerned that there may still be an infection or that the malware has corrupted something?

Hello,

Sounds as though you are still affected with damage or remnants from the infection. Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<==

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then post back here and we will provide you with further instructions.
