i am making a phone cord out of cat 5 ethernet cable, for example, say im using the green blue brown and orange wires, do i flip flop them on the other end?

one end: green - blue - orange - brown
other end: brown - orange - blue - green

???

RESOLVED
Nevermind, i went ahead and crimped the wires like i stated above, and it works like a charm.

Can i just ask why you used Cat 5 cable to make a phone cord instead of phone cord.

If I had to guess: Needed a phone cord of a weird length or something and didn't feel like buying one when he had some Cat5 around.
