playing arround with netstat

HI

Just for fun i was playing arround with netstat and i saw some strange entrys there when i used netstat -a.


here they are i dont know what they mean and google did not help eather :-)


Proto___Local Address_______Foreign Address____State

TCP____127.0.0.1:50619_____serial:50620_______ESTABLISHED ( What is the serial:50620 thingy ? i think its a port number but im not shure)
TCP____my ip:49162________www:https________ CLOSE_WAIT ( What does the www:https mean shoudn't there be a full url ?)
TCP____my ip:49163________174:https _________CLOSE_WAIT ( What does the 174:https mean ?)
UDP____0.0.0.0:500_________*:*_______________________________( What does the *:* mean ?)
TCP____my ip:50645________fx-in-f139:http______TIME_WAIT ( What does the fx-in-f139:http mean ?)
TCP ___[::]:2869___________Benjamin-PC:0______LISTENING (What does the [::]:2869 mean ?)


I have networking at school and stuff but we never realy used netstat So i do not really know wat those entry's mean so sry for the maybe nooby question :thumbsup:

your output seems a bit truncated to me...

might help.

Also run process explorer
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896653.aspx
and see if it matches the info in netstat.
