man what's the deal?

I had used this thing a while back on my own computer so i had the setup files. Someone in my house had one of those desktop hijacker viruses. it was called antivirus 2010 or something. Anyways, I was going to mail them combofix. So I found the file and upon tryng to copy/paste it, I opened it by mistake. At the time, I had a game running.

So anyways, it instantly restarted my computer and now my video card seems to be messed up. The desktop brightness/gamma seems to carry over and stack with the game gamma brightness, etc. So the colors in the game look extremely strage. Everytime I switch from windowmode to full screen...the desktop brightness is effected by the game gamma and stuff. It looks really bad...system restore and even updating drivers do NOTHING.

One thing I noticed aswell, the screen usually flickers when installing new drivers. This has always been the case with nvidia cards for the years when I have used them...well it's not doing that anymore. It's not even saying that it detected my 9800GT.

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

You should never keep Combofix on your computer
You should download the latest version only when needed

To uninstall ComboFix, press the WINKEY + R keys on your keyboard or go to Posted Image > Run... and in the Open dialog box, type:
ComboFix /Uninstall
  • Posted Image
  • Press OK.
  • Doing this will:[list]
  • Delete ComboFix's related folders and files.
  • Reset the clock settings.
  • Hide file extensions.
  • Hide System/Hidden files.
  • Clear the System Restore cache to prevent possible reinfection.
  • Create a new Restore point.
