Windows Conexant 2388x Video Capture Card and PowerProducer 5 not capturing VCR video

At my wits end with this one. Anyone know what the test signal means when you're trying to capture VCR Video on PowerProducer 5? I've got a Conexant 2388x Video Capture Card. I checked the wire connects on the yellow, red, white. I substituted the S-Video for yellow. Nothing but lines of test signal.
