Please take the time to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

why won't my laptop work?

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I posted earlier on the spyware,malware, antivirus forum approx 11:00 this morning with a terrible virus problem I'm having. So far no takers although many replies all around that time from other posters. I hope I'm following proper protocol.

Garmanma - Thanks for the help. If you look at my post you will see the reason I did not post logs is after I ran the
GMER's scan I am unable to access the save button due to the fact I can only run these scans in safe mode. I attempted to tab to save unsuccessfullyin safe mode as well. I still have gmers scan results as well as dds1 and avgrep and would post all logs if someone can help me access the save button.

Hello... another newbie here. I've read through the forums many times and finally decided to join. I guess you could say I'm a geek-wannabe. I like trying new software and attempting to figure out how stuff works. Looking forward to chatting and learning more.
