Unprompted Scans by HP. Help!

Often, for no apparent reason a scan or install window pops up & says the following in small window:

"Scan: The feature you are trying to us is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Scan.msi" in the box below.

(the window contains this line of text in it)
C:\Temp\HP_WebRelease\setup\Scan\" anyone help?

How can I disable this HP scan?

I have also included my HT log.
