Hi would someone be able to help please!

Firstly, there are no destop icons and the toobar is missing apon login just the background is shown. Only can access programs and files using Task Manager. I have tried running explorer.exe but this only sometimes works briefly or not at all. System restore does not help either.
Also when searching on IE I get redirected to random unwanted sites. Resetting my internet explorer settings stops this for a short time but the problem comes back again.

I am not sure if these problems are related or not, any help appreciated!

Sounds like a virus infection. Try running a scan with your antivirus in Safe Mode.

Now everything seems to be back to normal, yay! Thanks for your help Budapest!
