Download FxAgentB.exe from securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxAgentB.exe and save it to your desktop. After downloading, double-click the FxAgentB file to run it and the program will scan your entire hard drive - this may take a while. When it is done, it will generate a log file called FxAgentB.log - save that information as you will need to paste it here later. Reboot when done.

***
Next Download CWShredder.
Update CWShredder
  • Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
  • Click Check For Update
  • Close CWShredder
***
Then Download Ad-Aware Se Personal 1.06 and install it.
Click on check for updates now to make sure you have the latest reference file.
Now close the programm do not scan yet.

***
Download CleanUp!.
If that doesn’t work, use this link.
DO not use it yet

Reboot into Safe Mode:
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

***
Now run CWShredder hit the Fix Button and close it when the program has finished

***
Run Ad-Aware Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Start hijack this, choose do a scan only, and put a check at the following lines

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
