Help! Some evil form of malware, spyware, virus, or some ungodly thing has invaded my computer. Every time I try to do a google search, it will pull up real results, but when I click on them, I'm taken to a website called searchclick7.com. To go to the actual website I have to hit the cache button. It also won't let me sign into youtube or gmail. Whenever I try, I get told that there's a problem with the website's security certificate. When I opt to continue to the website anyway, a page comes up saying that the webpage cannot be found. I also keep having a program called Total PC Defender crop up on my computer. I pull up Windows Task Manager, disable the program, go into Program Files and delete the whole program, but it keeps coming back somehow. I've tried running Malwarebytes, Search and Destroy, and AVG. I finally just ran HiJack This and it told me to post the info it got. Please, if anyone knows how to fix this, please help.

Hello, coleraver smile.gif

Welcome.

Lets take a deeper look.

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • OTL should now start. Change the following settings
    • Change Drivers to All
    • Change Registry to All
    • Under File Scans, change File age to 30
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.*
    /md5start
    eventlog.dll
    scecli.dll
    netlogon.dll
    cngaudit.dll
    sceclt.dll
    ntelogon.dll
    logevent.dll
    iaStor.sys
    nvstor.sys
    atapi.sys
    IdeChnDr.sys
    viasraid.sys
    AGP440.sys
    vaxscsi.sys
    nvatabus.sys
    viamraid.sys
    nvata.sys
    nvgts.sys
    iastorv.sys
    ViPrt.sys
    eNetHook.dll
    ahcix86.sys
    KR10N.sys
    nvstor32.sys
    ahcix86s.sys
    nvrd32.sys
    Explorer.exe
    /md5stop
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please post the contents of these files in your next reply.

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here or here.
  • Extract the contents of the zipped file to desktop.
  • Double click GMER.exe.
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run a full scan...click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan..

Click the image to enlarge it
  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Ensure that only the following are CHECKED ...
    • IAT/EAT
    • Devices
    • Processes
    • Threads
    • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "ark.txt"
  • Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop and post its contents in your next reply.
**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries
