Hello all. I have had this problem before, and had to do a complete f disk. I have too much to lose this time. I did a repair install to see if i could fix some errors and speed up my pc. Upon the automatic reboot it stops with the wonderfull bsod. I have a pc made up of self installed parts. its all 4years or newer except windows xp. I think maybe the original xp cd doesnt recognize the newer parts and therefore wont install properly? I am using mini xp from hiren's 9.9 cd. I can access my files and get online, but nothing else. I have a huge XP Inside out book, but I cant seem to find the right answer. I bought System Mechanic proffesional, but cant find any detailed instructions to fix an install problem. Any help please?

Dont trust programs like System Mechanic. Your issue could be related to its use, or malware related.
