Just loaded WinXP after reformating my dicks (due to some crazy virus). My intial intention was just to repair my OS then it became clear I had to reformat it which took all day yesterday, and I know before doing this I would lose EVERYTHING saved on the disks. I just dont know how to get drivers and programs back.
FOR EXAMPLE:
I have no Wireless Network Connection....only 1394 Connection.
I think that if I can get online from that computer, I should be ok.
Help me get online please!

Use another computer with a cd burner to download and burn the drivers to a disk and you are golden.

Yup you got it, and your system will be back up and running. If you want to you can just download the network card driver and install it. After that you can remain home.

Does the computer have a internal wireless card?

Can you install the driver for the NIC and plug a wire to get internet to it to make it easier on you?

Most laptops can connect both ways. Right click on my computer, go to manage, device manager and it should show you all the things you need drivers for.

Is the WLAN switch in the "ON" position?
