Hey Guys:

I have set up my computer to be able to take my family .avi clips and stream them to my television. It does work. I get picture and sound, but, the problem is that it will work for a while and then it freezes and starts buffering over and over again.(sometimes for 15-20 seconds) Sometimes it even stops and goes black and I have to start the .avi again. I am using a Linksys router WRT160N. I think this could be the weak link in my system. Will I get better throughput if I upgrade to a different router? I was looking at the Linksys WRT400N dual-ban and the WRT610N. I was checking out some router comparison threads and it seems like Linksys is usually the top brand. I should mention also that I am using a cable modem and my speeds are usually around 2Mbp/s.

Would one of these simultaneous dual-n band wireless routers give me better data throughput?? I don't mind upgrading to a better router, I just would like to know if it can make a difference.
